Last week we spent 3 days in Auckland where Toby had a clinic visit, blood tests, Lumbar Puncture, Chemo into the spine and a Bone Marrow Aspirate. We all got to stay together at Ronald McDonald House this time. All went extremely well and we headed to the Airport just 3 hours after Toby went into Theatre!!
However, later on that night Toby became lifeless, developed a temperature and vomiting and diarrhoea. We took him off toHastings Hospital on Friday afternoon where they took some bloods and gave him some IV fluids overnight. They suspect he may have picked up Rotavirus, so want him to stay in for a couple of days so they can get some IV Antibiotics into him.
Such a setback considering he bounced back so well from surgery on Thursday morning!! He has been so miserable over the last couple of days, but when I left him at the Hospital today with Bevan he was starting to give away a few smiles :)
